We like to try going to the Grove in LA every year close to Christmas as a family just to get in the holiday spirit and have a nice lunch there, window shop, enjoy all the lights and Christmas decorations, and get to spot some celebrities sometimes :) Here's Dylan and Geno having a little moment after lunch.

Little Helper
Having Dylan be able to help decorate the tree this year for the first time was much more fun! (except for the fact that he also decided it might be helpful to take all the ornaments back off the tree when he was done & put them back in the box, so I had to do it all over again once he went to bed!)

Sunday traditions
Geno actually started this tradition this year, in which every Sunday during football season we go over my parents house in the morning and hang out there most of the day and eat, watch football with my dad, and just hangout. (of course he talked my dad into getting the NFL Sunday ticket in order to do this :) ) We always wake up looking forward to it, and Dylan always has a lot fun. Today we went for a walk, watched some football, BBQ'd, and also had Jonny take some fun pics of us for our Christmas card. As you can see, Dylan had enough with the mini photo shoot by the end of the day...
Halloween time!
Everyone knows I love Halloween!! Especially now that I have Dylan as a better reason to get all into it and make the celebration last longer! This year was extra fun because my cousin and her best friend flew in from Spain to celebrate with D and us. We took him to the pumpkin patch, costume shopping, carved pumpkins, baked pumpkin bread and cookies, went trick or treating with his buddy Ethan, and went to the DT Brea kids street party with cousin Fabian. He had sooo much fun! I was really going through a pirate phase this year, so I took it out on D too :) He didn't want to wear his hat, but had fun in his costume.
Uncle Jonny and my bday!
As usual, I haven't posted in a while, so I will have to get to catching up on what i've missed sharing. I am lucky to be able to share my birthday with my little brother. Since we both have the same bdays, I always look forward to celebrating together by going out to dinner, exchanging gifts and blowing out the candles together. The past two bdays have been even more special since Dylan is now here to celebrate with us and loves getting involved and helping us open our gifts and cut our cakes. Unfortunately for Dylan, he was excluded from the second part of our celebration, which was Geno and I taking Uncle Jonny to Vegas for his 21st!

Baptism
This was such a special day. We baptized Dylan at the same church Geno, his sister, and brother were baptized at, and it was also the same church Dylan's grandparents got married at. Dylan also got to wear a very special and beautiful necklace that my godfather gave him when we went to Spain. Dylan was so happy and proud to have auntie Evette and uncle Jonny be his godparents! He fell asleep while we were in church, but the water definitely woke him up!
1st time at the OC Fair
This was Dylan and Ethan's first time at the fair! Fine...we didn't really go for them...Tata Jen and I just used the boys as an excuse so we could go taste all the yummy food! :( And as you can see by the look on Dylan's face posing as a farmer with his cow...he was not too amused by all the fun Jen and I were having!
Catching up...
Wow! I have not posted in a while! Time just goes by too fast! Well, I will update on what you've missed since August. Dylan has a new cousin! First official "1st" cous! And I was lucky enough to see him actually born. Welcome to the world Fabian! Can't wait to see you and Dylan play together soon! He was born on August 11th, but obviously Dylan was not at the hospital so I will post a pic of them hanging out with Uncle Geno/dad last week during football Sunday...

Sandbox...or Pool?
On Ethan's bday, Dylan and I thought we'd invite the birthday boy and tata Jen over for breakfast and play time in the backyard. Tata Jen and I decided since I forgot to bring the sand for the sandbox that we would turn it into a pool for the day. Dylan was not too thrilled.
Dylan's 1st Bday!
Dylan had such a blast for his 1st bday! He started off celebrating his big day by doing some shopping at the grand opening of the Carter's store in Brea with his buddies, Everett and Ethan. Later, he celebrated with dinner at home along with his grandparents and auntie and Luis, topping it off with some yummy homemade banana cupcakes that mommy baked especially for him! The birthday boy also got to celebrate with a luau celebration and all his little buddies, family and special close friends. It was so much fun celebrating with him and watching his reactions. I know all mom's say this, but I seriously cannot believe how fast one year has gone by. It's crazy! It makes me a little sad because part of me wished it went by slower, but I know there are so many amazing times with Dylan ahead!
